Jettison Technique

Q: I noticed the jettison method listed in one of your seminar registration forms. Never heard of it, but it sounds interesting! Could you tell me a bit more about it?

A: Below is a demonstration of a lateral raise using the jettison technique. Midway through the exercise, the resistance tube is released and the movement continues with dumbbells only. This is a great method to extend a set and further the time under tension for greater hypertrophy or muscle mass. I have mentioned this method in the past in my Lateral Thinking For Wide Shoulders article.
